Updated : Apr 8, 2026

Shah Rukh Khan worked with Kamal Haasan in Hey Ram but the actor is unable to start beside Rajinikanth in a Tamil Movie. Rajini did a cameo as Chitti in Ra.One but SRK could not reciprocate for Jailer 2. The Bollywood King Khan has officially stepped away from his much-talked-about cameo in Jailer 2.

While he was initially excited about the brief role, conflicting schedules and a strong desire to protect his upcoming project, King, led to his exit. Shah Rukh Khan is currently pouring all his energy into King, an action thriller that also serves as the major theatrical launch for his daughter, Suhana Khan.

He has adopted a brand new look specifically for this film. Since Jailer 2 is planning to hit theaters in August, making an appearance would reveal his special get-up months before King releases in December. He wanted his appearance and style to remain a complete surprise for his own audience. The decision to part ways was friendly and handled with great respect.

Shah Rukh Khan personally spoke to Rajinikanth to explain the situation and expressed a strong desire to collaborate with the Tamil cinema legend in the future. Meanwhile, the team behind Jailer 2 is already searching for another massive star to step into the cameo as they wrap up their final stages of production. Maybe KHxRK film might have SRK's cameo as Nelson Dilipkumar is directing that film, too!
